bio

After moving to Leipzig in the early 2000s Danny Glisten learned and forgot how to play most of the songs by Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits and Rumbleseat.

Having a fast internet connection for the first time while living in Tokyo from 2004 to 2005, he discovered the music of Against Me, Ghost Mice, Lucero and Cory Branan – a life changing experience. He also occassionaly played some of the songs he could remember on the street and in a friend’s bar.

In 2008 he learned how to play a song by David Bowie and eventually forgot that too.

From 2008 to 2010 he played bass in the Leipzig based post punk band Monozid, touring through Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy and Czech Republic.

In 2011 he founded the cover band Attempt To Regress, and he can still remember most of their songs.

He is writing and perfoming his own songs since 2012, playing shows with Ghost Mice, Scott Kelly & The Road Home, Susanna Berivan, Christopher Paul Stelling, Miss Swallow & Me, David Copley, Digger Barnes, Andy Dale Petty and others.
